Affiliate Disclosure

The short version

There are currently no affiliate links on this site and we earn no commission from anyone. This page describes the rules that will apply if that changes, so they are on the record in advance rather than written to fit a deal after the fact. Every partner will be named here on the day it goes live.

How affiliate links are marked

We label them rather than hiding them. Depending on where it appears, an affiliate link carries a Sponsored tag, a Partner tag, or sits inside a block with a visible disclosure line. Every affiliate link also carries the rel="sponsored nofollow" attribute so search engines treat it as paid rather than editorial.

Links that are not affiliate links — an exchange's own website, a project's whitepaper, a trading pair URL from the CoinGecko dataset — carry no such label and earn us nothing.

What commission does not buy

Rankings on CoinPumpkin are generated from data, not from commercial agreements. The exchange table is ordered by CoinGecko trust score. Coin tables are ordered by market cap, volume or price change, depending on the page. A partner exchange with a poor trust score ranks poorly, and we do not remove or bury a non-partner competitor that outranks a partner.

We also do not write reviews in exchange for payment, and no partner sees or approves anything on this site before it is published.

Why we disclose this

Because affiliate revenue creates an incentive we would rather you can see than have to guess at. It is also required: the US Federal Trade Commission's endorsement guidelines and equivalent consumer-protection rules elsewhere require clear disclosure of material commercial connections.

Advertising is separate

No advertising is running on this site yet. When it is, the units will be labelled “Advertisement”, served by third-party networks, and we will not be selecting the individual ads shown.
